On 12th of November 2020, at 2.30 p.m., Kang Yu, Secretary-General of the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association, Cheng Youyan, Deputy Director of the Secretariat Integration Department, He Rui, cadre of the Secretariat Exchange Cooperation Department, Chen Fang, Vice-President of the Guangdong Bar Association, Yang Fan, Deputy Secretary-General, Zeng Qingkai, member of the Party Committee of the Shantou Municipal Judicial Bureau for a third-level researcher, and Chen Guoxiang, President of the Shantou City Bar Association, and Ou Shaogui, Secretary-General of the Shantou City Bar Association, visited the Guangdong Fengyue Law Firm for investigation and discussion. The symposium was held in the conference room, attended by lawyers such as Xie Fengkai, Li Guanghui, Gu Junfeng, Zhang Xiang and others.

Visitors first visited the office environment, video conference room, Secretary-General Kang and his party had interactive exchanges with our senior lawyers. At the forum, lawyer Xie Fengkai introduced the direction, business philosophy, personnel structure, main characteristics, management mode, international cooperation and some representative cases of foreign affairs of Fengyue Institute, and focused on the new situation, new characteristics, innovative service concept and innovative service mode of the foreign business during the epidemic situation.

Secretary General Kang Yu fully affirmed the achievements and rich experience of Guangdong Fengyue lawyers in foreign legal services. He stressed that since General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the "Belt and Road" construction initiative in 2013, China has held high the banner of peaceful development and actively developed economic partnerships with more than 150 "Belt and Road "countries and regions. Jointly build political mutual trust, economic integration, cultural tolerance of the community of interests, destiny and responsibility community. The "Belt and Road" construction requires legal services and legal guarantees. The Belt and Road International Lawyers Association is the first international lawyer organization to be established by the National Law Association and registered in China. The establishment of the alliance is an important milestone for Chinese lawyers to truly integrate into the international lawyers family. Chinese lawyers will play an important and unique role in the international lawyers community with a new attitude.

Secretary General Kang Yu briefed the participants on the establishment and development of the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association. He encouraged Guangdong Fengyue Law Firm and other Shantou Law Firms, as well as foreign lawyers, to jointly use the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association as a larger platform, a higher starting point, and strive to make greater achievements and contributions in foreign legal services and international cooperation.

Xie Fengkai expressed his heartfelt thanks to Secretary-General Kang Yu for his encouragement. He said he would actively apply to join the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association, take the initiative to assume more social responsibility, play a legal escort role in the construction of "Belt and Road ", and work together with his colleagues to create new opportunities for the development of "Belt and Road " and open up new space for the development of "Belt and Road".
