Oct, 16th to 20th 2009, foreign business lawyer and Professor Li Guanghui went to
Hangzhou to attend China’s Reform and Opening up 60 Years of Private
International Law Review and Prospects & China International Private
Law Association 2009 Annual Meeting. He submitted his research paper of analysis of Rotterdam Rules. As it’s reported that there were
nearly 200 people attending the meeting including domestic experts,
scholars and professes from Law schools and representatives from
substantive departments as the Superior People’s Court, Ministry of
Foreign Affairs Justice Department etc.
Participants discussed and
examined the draft legislation of China Private International
Law---Foreign Civil Relations Legal Application Law. It’s said that this
law would be submitted to National People’s Congress for approval in 3
years time.
